Punk used to be Pop. The slightly cheesy but likeable disco and comedy venue shut down in 2006 and Punk has arisen from the ashes like an attitudinous phoenix flashing his wings in the heart of central London. This is a cracking venue - spacious, not extortionate, with a nice crowd and a music policy several streets ahead of the RnB banality which dominates the West End.

With cool print and flock deco, honeycomb lighting, and a smooth combination of cocktails, cabaret, live music and private parties, Punk is not exactly sticking it to the establishment - more like, showing the rest of the promoters up West what they should be doing. No surprise from the team behind the reliably excellent Social.

Punk is a great spot already and with a 4am weekend license, and some great nights set up, the place looks like becoming a firm favourite.
