The rather oddly named L'Oasis does a good line in traditional gastro fare: Eggs Benedict and the like for breakfast, posh burgers or goats cheese tarts at lunch or dinner and some snazzy drinks options.

Since November 2006, L'Oasis also hosts a regular programme of art exhibitions. Work on display is often by local artists and the emphasis is generally towards contemporary painting.

They also hold some excellent wine tastings here at very reasonable prices (typically £35 per person including a three-course meal). With all this going on L'Oasis is really making a name for itself and for Stepney.
