With a kangaroo, a springbok, a four leaf clover and an emu emblazoned above the door, this pub is proud of its theme-bar stalwarts heritage.

This doesn’t mean you won’t get a welcome if you’re a Pom – in fact, you’ll get immediately drawn into a friendly conversation about the manifest sporting and climatological failings of this island.

With cracking live music at the weekends, great beer on tap and some unusually friendly girls hanging about the place, The Swan made us jealous of their fun. We’ll go back for the ace tribute bands, for sure.
