The bar formerly known as Open the Gate, Birthdays is a brand new, two-floor fun factory run by the same guys who bring you the Old Blue Last, The Only Way is Dalston and Vice Magazine.

Driving yet another nail into Shoreditch's coffin, this place is the latest in a series of cool, slightly fashionista places that have sprung up in the area between Shacklewell Lane and Arcola Steet.  Boasting a grade A soundsystem and 250 capacity gig space downstairs, and a cool hanging out bar on street level serving craft beer, cocktails and nice food 'til late.

Already attracting some of the best promoters in East London, including ATP, Bird on a Wire and Rockfeedback, and promising to keep everything relatively cheap, the old Shacklewell-Bardens-Efes crawl has just got another stop!
