Medium sized theatre in the West End used by the Ambassador group for some of their riskier productions like the awesome Vincent In Brixton, which has always had a history of supporting new writing. It just so happens that the first playwright to get a residency at the theatre turned out to be George Bernard Shaw, which set the theatre up rather nicely.
A comfortable auditorium seats over 600 which is no small number and makes for a charged atmosphere, whether for taut political dramas like My Name Is Rachel Corrie or glitzy singalong crowd pleasers such as the recent Dancing In the Streets.
