Launched on St. Patrick's Day in 1938 in Harland and Wolff Shipyard in Belfast, the HMS Belfast battleship went on to intercept many an enemy during WWII and the Korean War.
Now part of the Imperial War Museum, the battleship is moored at Tower Bridge and is designed more for the passing tourist or maritime enthusiast.
The new ship building exhibition at London's floating naval museum offers hands on and computerised interactive displays to demonstrate techniques.
