A popular urban legend has it that in 1968, Robert P. McCulloch thought he was bidding for the impressive Tower Bridge instead he won the decaying London Bridge. A fact he denied until his death in 1977.
Finished in 1894, the majestic bridge over the River Thames is one of the most recognisable bridges in the world. If you join the public tour or climb up the long stairs to the permanent exhibition, you can take in the 360 degree views of London and learn a thing or two about how and why it was built.
