Launched durnig Frieze Week in 2011, White Cube, Bermondsey is the third instalment of Jay Jopling's contemporary art empire.
Old Etonian Jopling opened the first White Cube on Duke Street, St James' in 1993, and it quickly became one of the driving forces behind the YBA boom, with the likes of Damien Hirst, Tracey Emin, Marc Quinn, Antony Gormley, Gavin Turk, and Jopling's then wife Sam Taylor-Wood all exhibiting there.
Today White Cube has galleries in Hoxton Square and Mason's Yard and now Bermondsey Street too.
