The Turk's Head in Twickenham does not have a sterling reputation. Known for its moody staff and flat beer and housed in a building resembling a tatty church hall, it doesn't have patrons pouring in.

It does however have a very good and surprisingly popular comedy night every Saturday called The Bearcat Club which has quality controlled line-ups and a few big names every now and then. If you live in central or north London, it's probably not worth trekking out to as there are so many other top comedy nights on a Saturday closer to home but if this is your local, it's certainly worth a punt.

There is also a quiz night at 8:30pm on Tuesdays.
