The Cavendish Arms has recently been refurbished and now boasts a 'ballroom' music venue and a healthy calender of events including comedy and live music. The pub has been redecorated in the style of a sitting room with comfy leather chesterfields and an open fire to relax in front of.

Next door, the ballroom is an intimate affair with a black and white chequered dance floor, dimmed lights, gold walls and, in case you didn't think that was jazzy enough, there is a huge disco ball to complete the glamour. Further highlights of this place are its helpful team of staff and the large beer garden with plants, awnings and gas heaters. Food is comfort-orientated in the form of Pieminster pies and chips. The Cavendish is certainly one of Stockwell's hidden gems at the moment but as with most hidden gems, it probably won't be for long.
