Gasworks is a contemporary arts organisation that houses 12 artists studios. A number of the spaces are filled by non-UK based artists on an International Residency Programme. The idea of the highly successful programme is that the exchange of ideas and techniques enables the artists to further the creative direction of their careers.

The gallery hosts six exhibitions a year, showing works by both resident and non-resident artists who are either emerging or in a mid-career position. The most exciting tend to be the exhibitions by artists who, in collaborating with fellow residents, produce fantastically ambitious projects that use the space to the best of its potential.
