Like fondue, roller-discos are one of those staples of seventies culture that rarely fail to appeal to the nostalgically inclined.
But while the Renaissance Rooms' regular roller-disco event recreates the atmosphere of its seventies ancestors, the music is modern rather than exclusively drawn from the Kool and the Gang back catalogue.
Rolling around in circles for five hours in vague correspondence to music is great, but if you've got the balance of a drunk monkey on a tightrope, it might be best to sit to the side.
