Victoria Palace Theatre

Allington Street, Victoria, SW1E 5EA
Tel: 0870 895 5577

Magnificent old music hall which dates back to 1886. The Palace boasts the most impressive foyer in theatreland with a huge amount of marble and a life size gold plated statue of Anna Pavlova in the entrance, all of it lovingly restored in the 1990s. Fortunately the seats were also widened a little to accommodate our wide 21st Century loads.

A magical setting for theatre with a history of crowd pleasing shows from the Crazy Gang through Buddy to the current run of Billy Elliot.

Reviews

SpoonfedMeg Tuesday, 28 April
It's fairly difficult to give a bad review to an actual West End theatre, unless of course there are giant columns blocking your view, unfriendly staff or there aren't any bathrooms or something - usually more of a response is attributed to the show itself. That said, the Victoria Palace theatre is a top notch venue. The location can't be beat - it's possibly one of the best venues for easy access to transport to or from anywhere else in the UK and there's plenty to do nearby.

The theatre itself is beautiful and quite comfortable and since it's one of the premiere West End theatres it's pretty much guaranteed to be showing something spectacular. If you have a chance to see a show here, you certainly won't regret it.
