Apples & Pears has recently been re-designed by a hotly acclaimed Japanese designer. It serves up a heady mix of interestingly named contemporary cocktails in an already buzzing area. Try sampling a Jack the Ripper or a Columbia Martini.

The name references the listed fire stairs at the back - cockney rhyming slang in case you missed that one.

They also host a number of clothes events - a swap shop and a lesson in customising old clothes, providing plenty of opportunities to rub shoulders with the next big home grown fashion talent.
