Rhythm Factory

16-18 Whitechapel Road, Whitechapel, E1 1EW
Tel: 020 7375 3774

In the heart of Jack the Ripper land, just a little north of the lane they called Brick lies the Rhythm Factory; a healthy veteran of a venue for musicians and music lovers all over the capital.

On the right side of skuzzy with a charming cafe bar and back room that attracts the usual east end starlets and hardened club kids, but with enough old man pub to keep the scene in check, this is a well balanced and friendly spot.

Consistently good band/DJ line-ups confirm the Factory as one of the cities must-see rock and roll haunts.

From techno, dubstep and breakcore to rock and indie, eclectic is the order of the Rhythm.

From my experience of the Rhythm Factory, it is a very dark yet friendly place. On my first night out here, I stepped into a welcoming dissarray at the front entrance but then seemed to fit in instantly. After we made our way to the back room it felt like whenever we stepped out it was a rush to get back in. I can't quite put my finger on why, but so far i have never left this venue before it closed; it is addictive.
