Toynbee Studios is part of the Arts Admin network of support for new writing and touring fringe productions, and comprises a 280-seat theatre, rehearsal rooms and of course, a café.

Toynbee enjoys a strong relationship with the producers and performers who are most tied into the Arts Admin network, an impressive range from old-guard dance/physical theatre company DV8 to visual artist and theatre-maker Graeme Miller to poet Lemn Sissay. The place is also an important London outpost for touring fringe productions, and a hire venue for totally independent shows.

Toynbee has some very regular performers and fixed events like poetry, and an impressive calendar of fresh productions in the theatre.
