A huge theatre (the sixth largest in London with 1,700 seats) but located miles from central London, the New Wimbledon is a local landmark and something of an anomaly for theatre goers by being a massive trek from the spires of Central London.

It is an extremely successful theatre despite the long journey faced by visitors and pulls in huge crowds of theatre goers with popular shows. The New Wimbledon is associated by most Londoners with Panto, every year thousands of city dwellers take an annual trip into Zone 3 to catch a bit of Yuel-tide action.
