Asmahan's entry level Egyptian dance class is a great way to spend any weekday evening.  The inviting atmosphere and laid back, carefree approach Asmahan brings as a professional dance instructor makes for a fun, relaxing session.  The dance class takes place in the beautiful Pineapple studios in Covent Garden, a lovely venue with a buzzing atmosphere.  To those who are inexperienced: it can be tougher than it looks to truly shake those hips!

The class of 30 to 40 is very welcoming, with women of all ages, shapes, sizes and skill levels. If you're worried about being a beginner, don't. You won’t stand out as the worst of the bunch.  Little tip though, it's easy to blend in with the crowd, you can hide out near the back!

Great even for those who have never attended a class before, and for all fitness levels, Egyptian Dance is a very specific type of dance that utilizes the beautiful lines that every woman has.  By cycling through several uniform postures, you are able to train your body to maintain a tightly controlled yet smoothly flowing motion.  The music really gets you going, and by the end of the one session, I'm able to follow and perform a series of subtle and exact steps, figure eights, turns, and dips that make me feel as sexy as Shakira.  Hey, isn't it all in what you feel?
