event S27

Here is a link to my review of S-27, at the Finborough Theatre http://www.spoonfed.co.uk/spooners/belias-4082/s-27-at-the-finborough-theatre-1192/
venue Finborough Theatre
Monday, 15 June
Great fringe theatre near Earl's Court. Intimate seating, and a regular schedule of interesting plays from upcoming writers. It's also above the Finborough Pub which has some really good food, and specials for the pre-theatre crowd.
venue The Ritzy
Monday, 08 June
Great little arthouse cinema. Usually a mix of mainstream and art-house choices provide something for everyone, and the Ritzy also houses a bar and cafe. They are the middle of a refurb at the moment, so it'll be interesting to see how it all looks once that's done.
venue Tate Modern
Monday, 08 June
Enjoying the collection of the Tate Modern would really depend on your attitudes towards modern and abstract art. Some pieces are inspiring while others can only be explained as elaborate hoaxes at the expense of the gallery and public. At the very least though, this collection will spark a lot of conversation, and that's never a bad thing.
venue Queen Of Hoxton
Monday, 08 June
Only came here for a few drinks but this is an awesome bar with wicked artwork on display and great background music. Will surely return to catch a gig or check out one of the rooftop BBQ's that they put on.
venue Hootananny
Tuesday, 26 May
really hit and miss. the live music room has a nice stage setup and fairly good acoustics but the sound just gets muffled in the adjoining pub room. the seating/pub room is fine, and the billiards tables provide a good distraction if the acts on stage are sub/par. the drinks are average, and in some cases actually a bit expensive consdering how rundown the pub is.
venue St Paul's Cathedral
Tuesday, 19 May
As a Born Again Athiest, religion isn't exactly my thing. However St Paul's is an absolutley stunning building and a real visual treat for any visitors of London.
venue The Park Tavern
Friday, 15 May
I used to work here, so I'll be biased. Good people (both the staff and regulars), quality affordable food and a great beer garden out back. BBQ's would be going on during summer and on weekends there is sometimes live music and live jazz. Half priced burgers on mondays, and the Wednesday night quizzes are more than worth it.
venue Gate Theatre
Wednesday, 13 May
Great little theatre. A unique stage setup frames the set like a display case, and the seating is so close that you could practically stand up and touch the actors.
artist Bigger Than Jesus
Monday, 11 May
I don't think that this artist's name is really that egotistical of a claim. By all historical accounts Jesus was a fairly short fellow. A bit on the skinny side too.
