Check your resolutions at the door...and bring on the mulletover January Sale.
If you've spent the first few weeks of the new decade sipping green tea, living off lettuce and trying to master 'downward dog' in your yoga class...you're probably browsing the wrong website. If, however, you fancy a January retox then fear not – the guys from Mulletover are throwing another one of their legendary raves this Saturday.
This month's 'January Sale' knees-up is happening in an oh-so-secret warehouse deep in the underbelly of Shoreditch...well, not so secret anymore, as, in the style of old-school underground raving, the boys have just revealed the Black Lotus Karate Club as the venue of choice. Borne out of exasperation with pretentious London clubbing, these parties have been going strong for six years – expect to check your trilby at the door.
Gadi Mizrahi from Wolf and Lamb – of banging Brooklyn house party fame – will be joined by Boston-based techno duo Soul Clap to deliver a unique brand of sonic beats. Well known for their cutting-edge style and in serious demand over the last 12 months, mulletover expectations are high. House resident Geddes and northerner Richie Ahmed are also performing on the night – the club's open until 6am and I, for one, am excited.
