Talk about a 180. In Frank McGuinness' new take on Tirso de Molina's thrilling tale of morality, the hermit Paulo focuses all his efforts on achieving salvation. But when he wavers from his prayers, the Devil takes his chance and convinces Paulo that he shares the same fate as Enrico, a high profile criminal. 

Giving up on God, Paulo embroils himself in the a world of violence and crime as he sways between all that is heavenly and all that will surely send him to hell.
