Win Tickets To A Night Of Swing Dancing in Stoke Newington

26 May, 2010
by: Competition

Enjoy an evening of retro dancing with A Midsummer Night's Swing to celebrate the reopening of Stoke Newington Town Hall!

Swing Dancing

Another night of live London jazz for dancing added on Wednesday 16 June at Stoke Newington Town Hall. These two special nights of swing are part of the events of the 2010 Barbican International Residency by the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis.

Enjoy a chance to celebrate the dance styles that inspired the rise of swing music in the 1930s in the beautiful surroundings of this newly-refurbished town hall, an historic, Grade II listed, Art Deco building with a traditional Canadian Maple sprung dance floor. A rare opportunity to experience the power and beauty of a great, transatlantic swing band.

This will be the ultimate summer celebration of the dance roots of jazz with some of the most exciting, foot-tapping arrangements in the history of the music.

This competition has now ended. Why not have a look at what other Spoonfed Competitions are going on?
