Next up will mark the start of your summer festival season at the UK’s most intimate festival, Blissfields. Taking place in the stunning Hampshire countryside from the 28th-30th June, 2012’s Blissfield Festival will be headlined by The Noisettes and Patrick Wolf, with a host of up-and-coming artists to boot. Teamed with a cracking comedy line-up and lots of family fun, Blissfields is a lovely untarnished event to be enjoyed by all.
Set in the beautiful surroundings of Cheltenham Racecourse from the 24th-27th August, Greenbelt Festival presents a unique offering of entertainment from music, literature and spoken-word, visual and performing arts, and comedy. Highlights of this year include Mercury Music Prize winner Speech Debelle, Nitin Sawnhey, and The Proclaimers, a stimulating speaker programme, and performing arts stars include the breathtaking OperaUpClose.
To round-up your summer of fun The Zoo Project are bringing their world famous Ibiza gatherings to the UK from the 14th-16th September. Over three days house and techno institutions will be showcasing their very best talent among a real working Wild Animal Park at Port Lympne in Kent. Festival-goers will be releasing their inner animals to the likes of Cocoon, secretsundaze and Channel Zoo, with sets from Sasha, Julio Bashmore, DJ Sneak, and Raresh, across the three day event.
Last but by no means least is RumFest, The Rum Experience, showing that festivals do not just have to be confined to the summer months. Taking place the weekend of 13th-14th of October at London’s ExCel, RumFest is the world’s largest festival dedicated to rum. Visitors can sample the delights of over 400 different varieties from around the globe, take part is masterclasses and seminars, watch breathtaking cocktail competitions, take part in salsa, zouk and samba, whilst tasting the delights from the Tropical Food Market. RumFest is a taste of the exotic and the perfect place to prolong those summer months.
