Half musical visionary, half drug-fuelled maniac, if one person sums up what Manchester's party scene was like in the late 80s then it is Shaun Ryder.
The former lead singer of the Happy Mondays, Ryder's music paved the way for the rave scene of the early 90s and the massive clubbing boom which followed. Tonight he'll be playing the best of Happy Mondays and Black Grape with a full live band at Proud2.
