Tuesday 26th July

These are Powers @ The Lexington

Consisting of a mental front woman and former members of Liars and Brenmar, These Are Powers blend eerie, ramshackle musings with caterwauling beats into a post-no wave sound clash that they've helpfully labelled 'ghost punk'

The Pains of Being Pure at Heart @ Heaven

Borrowing a leaf out of the North American lo-fi indie rock movement (think Pavement, Fugazi et all), The Pains of Being Pure at Heart sound like they'd be quite at home in the early nineties.

Friday 30th July

Dum Dum Girls @ Cargo

A whirlwind of snarling post-punk basslines, choppy guitars and vocal melodies reminiscent of big-haired '60s girl’s groups, Dum Dum Girls sound like a meeting between Mika Miko and The Shangri-Las, who thankfully steer clear of that whole Bom-ba-Bom Bom drum beat that everyone seems to rip-off.
