Tuesday 17th August
Tame Impala @ Cargo
A bunch of Australian’s who seem as obsessed with Pink Floyd as we are, Tame Impala make mind-expanding psych-rock with the aid of gear and production techniques not seen in these parts since the summer of ’68. Basically, they sound like LSD if it could be taken aurally.

Ihsahn @ Electric Ballroom
Probably most well known amongst metal circles for his work with black metallers Emperor, Ihsahn is out on own now-a-days, but still manages to make some of the most interesting black and progressive metal we've heard in a long, long time.

Wild Nothing @ The Luminaire
Sort of fitting in with the glo-fi thing peddled by the likes of Washed Out, Wild Nothing manages to imbue his futuristic shoegaze-meets-synth pop with a starry-eyed sense of innocence that makes his music sound like The Cocteau Twins meets Brian Wilson or something. Check out his dreamy cover of Kate Bush’s ‘Cloudbusting’; it’s absolutely brilliant.
