Every Monday our editors bring you their personal highlights of the week ahead. Dom Haley selects his top three gigs.

Wednesday 24th November

Jonquil @ Barfly

A bunch of Oxford-based experimentalists, Jonquil cite Paul Simon, Fleetwood Mac and Chic as influences. They also have their own studio which is pretty rad.

Thursday 25th November

Cerebral Ballzy @ XOYO

A band of hard partying kids from Brooklyn, Cerebral Ballzy have become one of the biggest names in hardcore recently, thanks to kick-ass live show and a sound that really reminds us of Suicidal Tendencies and Bad Brains in their thrashing days.

Cerebral Ballzy - 'Causing Havoc' by Tim Chester NME

Saturday 27th November
Nail the Cross @ Bussey Building

New Cross’s only festival might have moved to Peckham this year, but that doesn’t mean that it’s gone rubbish. With sets from D/R/U/G/S, Echo Lake, Weird Dreams and Still Corners, this looks like it will be one of the shows of the year.
