Grouplove @ The Fighting Cocks

Already touted by a lot of people as being one of THE bands to look out for in 2011, Grouplove are 5 young looking kids from Manhattan's lower east side who take indie rock, lo-fi sentiments and folksy guitar-pop on a wander through Talking Heads style art rock.

Wednesday 2nd February
Lulu and the Lampshades @ The Lexington

A bunch of hopelessly enthusiastic indie pop kids, Lulu and the Lampshades make twee, Belle and Sebastian inspired indie folk that is bashed out on improvised instruments and revolve around topics like love, dancing and cycling. In short, they're basically soundtracking fun.
