Take a break from the turkey and get stuck into this lot instead!

Monday 19th December

Shaun Ryder @ Dingwalls

Half musical visionary, half drug-fuelled maniac, if one person sums up what Manchester's party scene was like in the late ‘80s then it’s Shaun Ryder.

Thursday 22nd December
Fanzine @ The Old Blue Last

Straddling the distorted guitar/thumping drums aesthetics of '90s indie rock with a smattering of lo-fi garage with their sense of humour very much intact, despite their rep as slackers, Fanzine are one of the most spot indie bands to come out of London in a super long time.

Tuesday 27th December – 30th December
God Don’t Like It @ The Lexington

After 350 odds shows London promoters God Don’t Like It are calling it a day. But they’re not going out quietly, oh no, Ant and the guys are closing out 2011 with 4 massive farewell shows at The Lexington that will included appearances from Drum Eyes, Teeth of the Sea, Left With Pictures and Grubby Mitts.

Wednesday 28th December
Orphans Xmas @ Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen

Parents’ kicked you out over Christmas? Or the thought of being stuck listening to your Gran go on about the 1950s is too much to bear? The Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen not only feel your pain, they’ve only gone and stuck on this lovely little Xmas party for all you orphans out there.

New Year’s Eve
Sexbeat vs Beach Creep @ The Shacklewell Arms

Sexbeat are taking on their neighbours Beach Creep tonight for a New Year's Throw down that promises to mix big name bands and DJs with all the madness and choas of your average house party.

Looking for more New Year's Eve parties? Our clubbing team's got you covered.
