Exclamation Pony, Richard Hawley and PINS: Editor's Choice - Live Music
18 February, 2013
by: Domzig
Dom Haley selects his top three gigs for the week ahead:

Tuesday 19th February
Exclamation Pony @ Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen
Exclamation Pony - Rumours by scientists-of-sound
Cribs frontman Ryan Jarman presents the first ever gig from his new act Exclamation Pony down at the Hoxton Bar and Kitchen this week. Going for sway-along stuff with some pretty nice girl/boy vocals and synth-lines ripped off from a Brian Eno record, they kind of remind us of a mid-paced Ash then.
Saturday 23rd February
Richard Hawley @ The Troxy
Before by Richard Hawley Official
A guy who has been splashed all over BBC6 Music recently, former Long Pigs front man plays The Troxy this week. The proud Sheffielder is now rightly recognised as one of the nation's most talented and versatile solo artists, with seven excellent albums and a Mercury Music Prize only telling half the story.
Sunday 24th February
PINS @ The Roundhouse
Little Sting by PINS
Notching up gigs in disused office blocks and hotel basements to name a few, Pins' knock-down and highly lo-fi approach to noise punk sounds pretty good anywhere, but expect it to sound slicker than ever when the band hit the lavish PA down at the Roundhouse this Sunday.
