Dom Haley selects his top three gigs for the week ahead

Monday  27th June

Gala Drop @ Star of Kings

Like Portugal's answer to US Girls or Lucky Dragon, Gala Drop are a pair of forward thinking DJs/producers who use various loop pedals, synths, feedback machines and gizmos to make some of the scariest music possible.

Thursday 30th June
Rayographs @ Wilmington Arms

To be fair, we're not sure why it's taken so long for this band to crack London's notoriously picky indie scene. A unique and atmospheric band based on punk poetry, krautrock and garage rock, The Rayographs tick so many of our boxes it's untrue. Maybe the rest of us just had to catch up with them.

Saturday 2nd July
Cold Pumas @ The Victory

Brighton based noiseniks Cold Pumas play a brand of trance rock that name checks the rhythm section of Wooden Shjips whilst echoing the British garage phenomenon of late. Obtuse and hard to define, this is a band who you really need to figure out live
