Dom Haley selects his top three gigs for the week ahead

Tuesday 11th October
Planningtorock @ Scala
Planningtorock by gorillablog
Berlin based but Bolton born, Janine Rostron’s weird sound and weirder vibes may freak us out a little, but even we have to admit that Planningtorock’s beautiful electronica is pretty damn captivating.
Thurday 13th October
Divorce @ The Old Blue Last
Love Attack by divorcetheband
Four kids from Glasgow making an unholy, swirling noise that somehow sounds like Sonic Youth, Throbbing Gristle and the Raincoats all at the same time, Divorce could be one of our new favourite bands.
Thursday 13th October
Ruby and the Rib Cage @ Zigfied Von Underbelly
You dont know - demo by RubyandtheRibCage
If, for some crazy reason, nutty Scottish punk kids aren’t you’re thing, then Ruby and the Ribcage are playing just the other side of Curtain Road. Only coming together at the beginning of the summer, this skittery folk band have already caused quite a stir on the London folk scene mainly to a sound that sounds like Lulu and the Lampshades crossed with PJ Harvey.
