PINS, Foxes and Palma Violets: Editor's Choice - Live Music

23 October, 2012
by: Domzig

Dom Haley selects his top three gigs for the week ahead;

Tuesday 23rd October

Foxes @ White Heat

Foxes - Youth by iamfoxes

Foxes is the umbrella name for 22 year-old Southampton-born London native Louisa Rose and her impressively catchy glitch pop that sounds a bit like James Blake meeting Kate Bush.

Wednesday 24th October
PINS @ Sebright Arms

SHOOT YOU by PINS

An exciting looking band from Manchester who sound like the Dum Dum Girls meeting Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, PINS visit Sebright Arms this week as part of an epic UK tour.

Thursday 25th October
Palma Violets @ Jamm

Palma Violets - Best of Friends by Brattwell Recordings

A bunch of fast-rising punks who make a sound that is somewhere between the sparse synth pop of Joy Division and the boisterous rabble-rousing of Stiff Little Fingers, Palma Violets play a little showcase gig at Jamm tonight.
