Dom Haley selects his top three gigs for the week ahead;

Milk Maid
Wednesday 27th June

Real Estate @ The Electric Ballroom

Real Estate - Exactly Nothing by Domino Record Co

A four-piece from the Garden State (that's New Jersey for those who aren't familiar with US geography or the work of Zach Braff), Real Estate are a bath of sound that takes all of the best bits of The Beach Boys, Velvet Underground and Television and mixes them up into a crazy, but really friendly beach party.

Thursday 28th June
Milk Maid @ The Shacklewell Arms

Back Of Your Knees by Milk Maid

Having already ripped up the airwaves with their reverb-drenched indie rock, Milk Maid's new album 'Mostly No' sees the band embracing their Manchester roots even more firmly, with shades of The Stone Roses and the Buzzcocks peeking out from behind swirls of tape hiss and feedback.

Sunday 1st July
Frankie Rose @ The Windmind

Interstellar by missfrankierose

Cuddling up to krautrock, new wave, post punk and indie pop, former Vivian Girl/Dum Dum Girl/Crystal Stilt Frankie Rose’s music is way more inventive than any of her previous bands would of had you believe.  Over to play a series of London dates, she plays an afternoon show at the Windmill on Sunday.
