Even if you spend the entire Camden Crawl drinking pints in the World’s End make sure you check out these dudes. We promise you won’t regret it.?

Becoming Real

Cerebral Ballzy

Saturday and Sunday

A band of hard partying kids from Brooklyn, Cerebral Ballzy have become one of the biggest names in hardcore recently, thanks to kick-ass live show and a sound that really reminds us of Suicidal Tendencies and Bad Brains in their thrashing days. The first and probably the last hardcore band to be signed to Moshi Moshi Records, we interviewed them last year, and they turned out to be pretty funny guys.

Sunday

A feisty duo that seems to be well-schooled on the likes of Queens of the Stone Age and named after their favourite part of a Melvins song, 2:54 exude the stereotypical bad-ass, women-in-rock-music attitude without even trying. Fusing enthralling vocals with an industrial-esque, lo-fi sound, their songs manage to be both hypnotic in tone and violent in delivery.

Divorce

Saturday and Sunday

Almost like a one-band antidote to all that twee, cardigan-wearing indie stuff that you usually get coming out of Glasgow, Divorce sound like Pissed Jeans, The Slits and Be Your Own Pet all caught up in a particularly brutal bar fight.

Becoming Real
Saturday and Sunday

Yeah, as we’ve all heard about 1689831 times already, this whole IDM-meets-dubstep thing is the hot new sound of 2011. To be honest, I can take or leave most of it, but try as hard as I can, I just can’t help but like the dark, oddly shaped electronica of Becoming Real. Ever since he opened up for Salem back when they played St Leonard’s Church I’ve been hooked.

Apparently he used to be in a Sonic Youth cover band, which explains everything really.

The History of Apple Pie

Sunday

Specialising in the same doe-eyed cutesy dream pop as bands like The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, The History of Apple Pie seem poised to take over as the shoegaze-lovers' band of choice. All fuzzed-out guitars and half-heard vocals, they’re also one of the hardest working bands in London, and are playing three separate shows at this year’s Crawl.
