Wye Oak, Chris Cohen and Action Bronson: Editor's Choice - Live Music
10 December, 2012
by: Domzig
Dom Haley selects his top three gigs for the week ahead:

Tuesday 11th December
Wye Oak @ Scala
Wye Oak - Civilian by City Slang
With the sound that Wye Oak produce, it's truly quite amazing that they haven't been snapped up as the new face of Tate & Lyle. Beautifully sweet with a warm richness that can give you butterflies without even being into 'love' all that much, this is thoughtful and polished indie rock with a folky charm.
Friday 14th December
Chris Cohen @ The Lexington
Chris Cohen // "Optimist High" by capturedtracks
Having already done his time in Deerhoof, Cass McCombs and Haunted Graffiti, Chris Cohen has decided to strike out alone and release an album called 'Overgrown Path' on Captured Tracks. Making dreamy, faintly psychedelic folk music that is sort of like Woods, if you're into beards, 80s movies or rain macs then you should probably go check him out.
Sunday 16th December
Action Bronson @ The Garage
Action Bronson - Bitch I Deserve You feat Evidence by Thissongissick.com
A dude who gave up a career as a gourmet chef in New York to become the most controversial East Coast rapper since Ghostface Killah, Action Bronson rhymes about guns, bitches and slow roasted duck.
