Dom Haley selects his top three gigs for the week ahead

Tuesday 9th August

Washed Out @ The Scala

Washed Out is the solo work of one Ernest Green, a young guy from Georgia who makes bedroom sythnpop that sounds like the sparse, distant electro pop of ‘80s pioneers Visage and Ultravox combined with the melodic Balearic beats that you hear pumping out of bars in down-town Marbella.

Wednesday 10th August
Gross Magic @ The Shacklewell Arms

A bright and breezy blend of Nirvana riffs and pop-weirdness, Brighton's Gross Magic are what you'd get if TuNe-YaRds and Ariel Pink ever got to breed and ELO was their kid’s godfather.

Gross Magic - Sweetest Touch. by LitePanda

Friday 12th August – Sunday 14th August
Yes Way @ The Bussey Building

For the third year running, record label and promoter Upset the Rhythm is taking over the Bussey Building in Peckham to present a weekend of live music and arty goings on. Featuring every cool band in London, from Lets Wrestle to Prize Pets, you don’t want to missing this one.~
