Florence and the most incredible Machine you’ve ever heard…
Brixton Academy is officially one of the coolest venues in London for a number of reasons. The slanting floor aids my stumpy legs to actually see the performance, the Romeo and Juliet style towers make me feel like I’m in a Disney movie and while having space to show off my incredible moves, I always have a brilliant night. It truly is great and on Sunday night I waddled down there in my coolest gear to see Florence and the Machine, supported by The Temper Trap.
I arrived to the quirky and brilliant sound of The Temper Trap, who are a new favourite of mine. Their most well-known song, ‘Sweet Disposition’ officially rocks my world and lets me float off into the clouds where I wish I lived. They stole the audience and certainly were a tough act to follow. However the fiery ginger of an angel had no problem in holding her own. She floated on in a dress that would have made me look like an obese octopus and absolutely stole my heart from beginning to end.
Her ridiculously incredible voice, magical stage presence and damn cool graphics made the whole show brilliant. She is powerful, deep, freaking cool and everyone wants to be her, on her, with her… I certainly did. Queue, camp, beg, borrow and steal to get a chance to see her. Don’t say I didn’t warn you…

If you are upset that you never got to sit in the studio of Mark Rothko, then this is the show for you. Last Wednesday, I left the Donmar paint splattered, pondering about life and completely in love with Eddy Redmayne. I also googled “How to become an artist” the next day, so it’s definitely not one to miss.
