Every Friday, our editors bring you their personal highlights of the week ahead. Emma McAlpine selects her top three gigs.

Wednesday 8th February
Knock2bag @ BAR FM
This month's show is headlined by rising star Josh Widdicombe, and also features Edinburgh 'Best Newcomer' nominee 2011 Humphrey Ker, the extraordinarily brilliant Ben Target, up-and-coming Kettering boy James Acaster, sharp stand-up Diane Morgan, and classical singer-turned-comic Lloyd Griffith.

Thursday 9th February

Tony Law: Go Mr Tony Go! @ King's Place
Tony Law performs his award-winning 2011 Edinburgh show, a shambolic hour of surreal imagery and imaginative set-pieces, featuring a touching tribute to Gok Wan, some xenophobia to accommodate popular comedy tastes and an analysis of fashionable paedophile haircuts, amongst other things.

Saturday 11th February
Get Conected Charity Night @ Bloomsbury Theatre
Charity night with an accordingly worthy bill including comedy actress and quirky stand-up Sara Pascoe, caustic Aussie Brendon Burns, amusing anti-comic Ed Aczel, Edinburgh Best Newcomer nominee Carl Donnelly, Mighty Boosh star Rich Fulcher, top character comic Colin Hoult, the deadpan Norman Lovett (Red Dwarf) and 'Gap Yah' sketch star Matt Lacey.
