The Humble Quest for Universal Genius @ Leicester Square Theatre Lounge
This ridiculous cult quiz (described as the bastard child of QI and Shooting Stars) show sees comedian Mark Allen pit top comics against each other in a bid to find a modern-day 'Universal Genius.' April's Quest sees members of multi-award-winning sketch group Pappy's compete against each other. To decide who will be anointed with the coveted Universal Genius mortarboard, Tom Parry, Ben Clark and Matthew Crosby will battle it out in rounds such as art, maths, languages, etiquette, poetry, wit, literature, inventing and hunting. Yes, hunting.
Thursday 12th-Saturday 14th April
Tony Law: Go @ Soho Theatre
Surreal Canadian Tony Law presents his critically-acclaimed Edinburgh 2011 show, an hour of off-the-wall, award-winning, boundary-defying stand-up comedy. Includes, amongst other things, a touching tribute to Gok Wan; special mood lighting; an interview with an evil banker; pandas; some xenophobia to accommodate popular comedy tastes and an analysis of fashionable paedophile haircuts.
