Wednesday 27th-Thursday 28th January
Delete the Banjax @ Pleasance Theatre
From surreal cow races to quiz show spoofs, sketch newcomers Delete the Banjax brought a large helping of inventive silliness to the 2009 Fringe, recieving a stack of 4 and 5 star reviews for their fast-paced show. One of our Rising Stars of 2010, the foursome are performing a two-day showcase at the Pleasance this week with plenty of new material.

Friday 29th-Saturday 30th January
Andrew O'Neill
@ Soho Theatre
The self-proclaimed vegan, anarchist, transvestite, musician, writer and comedian takes over the Soho Theatre this weekend, performing his latest show Occult Comedian. Based around some of his favourite things - death metal, magic and cross-dressing, the show is haphazard but brilliantly scripted; with lists, puns and songs breaking up his pet subjects.

Saturday 30th January
New Act of the Year Final 2010 @ Hackney Empire
With 15 finalists whittled down from over 100 acts, this could be the last time this prestigious new comedy competition takes place in the Hackney Empire, as it shuts down for nine months of Arts Council inspired 'reflection'. Over the last 29 years, it has introduced several comics who are now TV stars including the likes of Harry Hill, Eddie Izzard and Russell Brand. Hosted by comedy curmudgeon Arthur Smith, with the winners announced at the end, it's a great event to discover lots of new talent in one go. Our money will be on cabaret pop sensation Frisky and Mannish...
