Every Monday our editors bring you their personal highlights of the week ahead. Emma McAlpine selects her top three comedy nights.

12th-15th May
Hans Teeuwen @ Soho Theatre

Absurdist Dutch comedian Hans Teeuwen is back in the capital this week with his 2009 show Smooth and Painful. Teeuwen describes his act as: "80% nonsense and absurdity, and 20% something else - either semi-autobiographical or controversial or political". Punters are as likely to be treated to a subversive lesson in current affairs as they are to witness a sado-Dadaist jazz cabaret - A genuinely unique talent not to be missed.

12th-15th May

The Human Computer @ Battersea Arts Centre

Eccentric Perrier winner Will Adamsdale brings his Fringe hit The Human Computer to the Battersea Arts Centre this week. The show traces Adamsdale's ambivalent relationship with computers through school, college dissertations and a beginner's course at the Brixton library. A must-see for anyone who's ever struggled with their PC.

Friday 14th May

Milton Jones
@ Udderbelly

Master of the one-liner; be it silly, clever or punny, Milton Jones brings his latest show to Southbank's Udderbelly Festival. With a penchant for daft jumpers and bizarre props, this multi award-winning stand-up can make an hour of short gags fly by.
