Every Monday our editors bring you their personal highlights of the week ahead. Emma McAlpine selects her top three comedy nights.

Monday 14th June
Bums on Seats @ Lyric Theatre Shaftesbury
Ah, charity gigs: no stand-up, no matter how big-time or reclusive, can refuse them. This one-off show in aid of homeless persons' theatre company Cardboard Citizens is case in point - critics' favourite Josie Long, Book Club legend Robin Ince, cult hero Daniel Kitson, surreal Funny Women winner Bridget Christie and the needs-no-introduction Stewart Lee will all be in attendance.
Monday 14th-Saturday 19th June
Stephen Merchant @ Jackson's Lane Theatre
You might have seen Stephen Merchant popping up as a secret gig headliner over the past year or two but now he's developed a full hour of solo material presumably in preparation for a national tour. Merchant is the first to admit his style is less 'edgy' than comedy partner Gervais, but this is no bad thing - his is charmingly self-deprecating and as you'd expect from someone who co-wrote The Office and Extras, highly adept at weaving amusingly cringe-worthy anecdotes.
Saturday 19th June
Live at the Chapel @ Union Chapel
Those Live at the Chapel peeps have secured another cracker of a line-up this month with the Irish fawn of musical whimsy - Mr David O'Doherty, Eddie nominee 2009 Tom Wrigglesworth, top comedy podcaster Richard Herring and a secret special guest taking over Islignton's lovely Union Chapel.
