Editor's Choice - Comedy

Every Monday our editors bring you their personal highlights of the week ahead. Emma McAlpine selects her top three comedy nights.

Wednesday 8th December
Knock2Bag Christmas Party @ Bar FM, Shepherd's Bush
The Knock2Bag franchise can always be relied upon to provide a strong comedy line-up wherever they go, and it seems their Christmas party is no exception. Best of all, they haven't gone all Scrooge-like on us and hiked up their prices for the festive season. So for a very wallet-friendly £10, you'll be able to enjoy the comedic talents of Mighty Boosh star Rich Fulcher, brilliant Dada-esque weirdo Dr Brown, creative sketch duo Cardinal Burns and many more.

Thursday 9th-Friday 10th December
Dead Cat Bounce @ Pleasance Theatre
Billed as an "international rock & roll comedy supergroup", Irish four-piece Dead Cat Bounce have taken the musical comedy genre and run with it, blowing it up to stadium-sized proportions and producing some cracking comedy anthems on the way. With songs including "Over Enthusiastic Contraceptive Lady" and "Midget", which considers the possibilities of what might happen if you picked up a midget and made a run for it, we are fully appreciating the DCB magic at the moment.

Sunday 12th-Monday 13th December
Ross Noble @ Hammersmith Apollo
Daft, hi-octane and one-of-a-kind, everyone's favoruite spontaneous clown is back in London this weekend, as part of his new tour Nonsensory Overload. Noble's astounding and freewheeling brand of humour, which often relies heavily on improvising and interacting with the audience, has made him one of the most successful cult comedians of our time. Seeing him live is an experience every comedy fan should try.
