Comedy editor Emma McAlpine selects her top three comedy nights for the week ahead.

Monday 8th October-Saturday 27tth October
Simon Munnery's La Concepta @ secret Soho location
Simon Munnery’s exclusive non-dining restaurant opens in Carnaby Street. La Concepta offers eight non-diners at a time, all the rigmarole of haute cuisine without the shame of eating. Instead, expect a varied three-course menu of conceptual dishes comprising of plates of art, jokes, props, aphorisms, audio installations and choreographed dance. Food may not be on the menu but innovative, surreal and bonkers entertainment most definitely is.

Thursday 11th October
Get Happy 5th Birthday Special @ King's Place
Get Happy celebrates its 5th birthday with many of their favourite acts including Earl Okin, David Whitney, George Ryegold, Andrew Watts, Rachel Parris, Tim Shishodia, Andrea Hubert and David Hardcastle as MC. Expect special surprise guests, death defying audience games and the chance to win some mediocre prizes!

Thursday 11th October
PLEB Talks @  secret location
Fosters Best Newcomer Nominee 2012, David Trent is the Keynote Speaker for PLEB Talks this month, themed around 'Myths and Legends' and held, as always, in a secret London venue. The world’s only comedy think-tank, PLEB is a platform for comedians to dispense their unconventional wisdom. Unlike traditional lectures that are serious and useful, the PLEB Talks lectures are reckless, fuelled by comedy and intellectually...worth nothing.
