Every Friday, our editors bring you their personal highlights of the week ahead. Emma McAlpine selects her top three gigs.

Tuesday 21st February
Monster Comedy @ Leicester Square Theatre
Monster Comedy returns with another MONSTER line-up this week; featuring another stupendous bill including: joint winner of the 2011 Leicester Mercury Comedian Of The Year award Ben Target; Ed Gamble (of the popular Peacock and Gamble podcast); the brilliantly dry Daniel Simonsen; the two pillars of the Parthenon of culture The Gentlemen of Leisure; and creative sketch duo Allnutt and Simpson. Oo-er.

Thursday 23rd February-Saturday 3rd March

Toby: Lucky @ Soho Theatre
"Sarah is childlike, troubled and suffering from delusions of grandeur. Winner of the Tunbridge Wells Girls' Grammar School Theatre Prize 2003. Lizzie is gifted, loyal and suffering at the hands of her sister Sarah." Brilliant female duo Toby present a darkly comic playlet about sibling rivalry, at its funniest (and ugliest).

Friday 24th February

The Horne Section @ Hackney Empire
The comedy jazz juggernaut that is The Horne Section brings its biggest show yet to the Hackney Empire, featuring special guest headliner Jimmy Carr, beatboxing genius Beardyman (pictured), clever gag merchant Tim Vine, amazing physical comedy from the Pajama Men and the man balloon phenomenon that is Bruce Airhead. Not to be missed!
