Monthly Mirth Aid, Sara Pascoe & Ross Noble: Editor's Choice - Comedy
23 November, 2012
by: Emma
Comedy editor Emma McAlpine selects her top three gigs for the week ahead.

Thursday 29th November
Monthly Mirth Aid @ Bethnal Green Working Men's Club
A monthly comedy night showcasing the best alternative and character performers, below deck at the B.G.W.M.C. November's line-up includes the ace sketch troupe Clever Peter, the always-inventive Ben Target, '80s mega super group Modern Dreams, clowning duo Twisted Loaf and character comedian Caroline Hardie, with the charming Nish Kumar as your MC.
Tuesday 27th November-Saturday 1st December
Sara Pascoe: The Musical @ Soho Theatre
Offbeat comedian Sara Pascoe brings her critically-acclaimed, 2012 Edinburgh show to Soho. While there are one or two catchy songs, it's not actually a musical like the title suggests, but an autobiographical stand-up show full of sharp one-liners and amusing tales of adolescence unrequited love, and sexism in the media. A Fringe highlight well worth your while.
Thursday 29th November-Saturday 1st December
Ross Noble: Mindblender @ HMV Apollo
The popular Geordie comic returns to London this month with a new live tour, after a two year hiatus from the UK circuit. Renowned for his freewheeling, stream-of-consciousness style of stand-up, Noble never fails to conjure up random comedy dynamite from the surrealist edges of his mind.
