Every Friday, our editors bring you their personal highlights of the week to come. Emma McAlpine selects her top three gigs.

Tuesday 31st June
Pappy's Flatshare Slamdown
@ The Phoenix

A brand new comedy night from award-winning sketch team Pappy’s, the show features some really good special guests and mixes stand-up, sketch and character comedy with a new audio podcast - Flatshare Slamdown. Set in Pappy’s flat – with landlord Matthew in charge – you can watch unruly tenants Ben and Tom battle to avoid doing annoying household chores.

Friday 3rd June
Jerry Seinfeld Live @ O2 Arena

Tickets for the sitcom star's one off UK gig are expensive but that's unlikely to deter the diehard Seinfeld fans. Expect musings on life, love and er, golf from the American legend. Seinfeld was the most successful sitcom in US history, running for nine seasons from 1989 to 1998. Since the show finale, the New York comic has co-written the animated movie Bee Movie, worked on NBC’s reality TV series The Marriage Ref and toured America extensively.

Thursday 2nd-Friday 4th June
John-Luke Roberts Distracts You From a Murder @ Soho Theatre

A wonderfully offbeat and whimsical solo debut from John-Luke Roberts, a BBC Radio 4 writer and one half of inventive sketch duo The Gently Progressive Behemoth. A cult hit at the Edinburgh Festival in 2010, Roberts will attempt to distract you from a sickening murder he's about to commit during the show, armed only with a book of audience insults and his wits.
