Balham Comedy Festival
@ The Bedford

Here's an exciting comedy festival you don't have to travel far for this summer. Held in the cavernous Bedford pub, home to comedy institution the Banana Cabaret, the Balham Comedy Festival features a star-studded line-up, many of whom have appeared at Banana Cabaret during its 28 year history.  Names confirmed include Harry Hill, Al Murray The Pub Landlord, Ed Byrne, Ardal O Hanlon, Milton Jones, John Moloney, Marcus Brigstocke, Stephen K Amos, Richard Herring, Paul Chowdhry, Diane Spencer, Alistair Barrie, Lucy Porter, Henning Wehn, Kerry Godliman, Adam Bloom and more.

 

Friday 6th July
Deansways presents
 @ Deansways

A new Friday night show featuring both the biggest names and best new talent on the circuit. This month's gig includes performances from The Mighty Boosh's Rich Fulcher, sketch quartet the Three Englishmen, ace musical songstress Carly Smallman and sharp-witted stand-up Tom Allen.

 

Saturday 7th July
Live at the Chapel @ Union Chapel
Novelist and stand-up Mark Watson headlines a superb line-up in the Union Chapel, supported by gifted storyteller Danny Bhoy, musical comedy genius Tom Basden and whimsical Irish talent Claudia O'Doherty. Night Mayor of Balham, Grumpy Old Man and general legend Arthur Smith returns to host.
