Every Friday, our editors bring you their personal highlights of the week ahead. Emma McAlpine selects her top three gigs.

Thursday 28th June
Spoonfed Live presents: Comedy on a Roof @ Dalston Roof Park
The penultimate gig in our summer comedy series is something of a sketch and character special, with Live at the Electric's Totally Tom, E4 stars Cardinal Burns, top character act Colin Hoult, awesome up-and-coming troupe Oyster Eyes, the hilarious Jamie Demetriou as Big D and Chortle Student Awards 2012 finalist David Elms. Inventive duo Allnutt and Simpson will be your hosts. Head there early and sink your teeth into a steak sarnie with homemade Brazilian sauce from the Ginger Pig, and enjoy a cocktail or two at the roof bar.

Friday 29th June
The Boy With Tape on His Face @ Udderbelly
Nominated for the Edinburgh 'Best Newcomer' award, Boy With Tape on His Face is a truly innovative, brilliant comedy act. A combination of vaudeville theatre, mime and physical comedy, Kiwi comic Sam Wills has put his own stamp on the silent genre, using the audience and some carefully timed pop songs to aid his gags.

Friday 29th June
Knock2Bag East with Josie Long @ Rich Mix
Edinburgh Comedy Award 2011 nominee and all round good egg Josie Long headlines Knock2bag East this month with amazing guests including sketch heroes Pappy's, rising musical star David Elms, comedy rapper Doc Brown and cult cabaret duo Frisky and Mannish.
